Statement of Faith

Dazzling G.E.M.S. is a faith-based organization with an open door. Girls of all backgrounds are welcome and always will be.

Dazzling G.E.M.S. affirms the following beliefs as its foundational faith:

  1. We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

    (2 Timothy 3:16–17)

  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each has distinct roles relating to His creation, and the act of redeeming His creation via the plan of salvation.

    (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

  3. We believe in the Personhood of the Holy Spirit, as the Holy Spirit is referred to as a “whom” that can be known, and is equated with God in Acts 5:3–4. As the third part of the Trinity, He is God.

    (John 14:15–17, 25–26; Romans 5:5)

  4. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

    (Romans 8:9)

  5. We believe in the deity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His shed blood for the forgiveness of sins, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His visible return in power and glory. We recognize Jesus as both Savior and Lord.

  6. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man.

    (1 Timothy 2:5)

  7. We believe that all men are lost and sinful and that salvation is received by the grace of God through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and by the act of regeneration of life by the Holy Spirit.

    (Romans 3:23–26; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 2:8–9)

  8. We believe that Jesus arose bodily from the grave and returned to Heaven, where He is our High Priest.

    (1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 4:14–16)

  9. We believe the Holy Spirit bestows the gift of faith whereby mankind is born again in Christ and becomes a child of God.

    (1 John 3:1; Romans 8:16–17)

  10. We believe that the Holy Spirit abides with and comforts us until Christ’s return.

    (John 14:16)

  11. We believe that when Jesus returns from Heaven, all will be raised; those who believe will have eternal life in Him; those who do not believe will be eternally condemned.

    (John 5:28–29)

  12. We believe in the saving, atoning, and redemptive work that Jesus accomplished through His life, death, and resurrection. As the propitiation for our sin, He assumes our sin debt so we may have eternal life and salvation in His name. God the Father applied Jesus’ righteousness to those who receive Him with repentant hearts.

  13. We believe that Jesus’ death was voluntary and intentional, that He did so out of obedience unto our Heavenly Father and because of God’s love for us personally while we were yet sinners.

    (1 Timothy 2:5–6; Ephesians 5:2; John 10:14–18; Romans 5:8–9)

  14. We believe that salvation is found in Christ alone, “for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). And this salvation is by grace through faith.

  15. We believe that support and participation in the task of fulfilling the Great Commission is the responsibility of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

    (Matthew 28:19–20)

  16. We believe that the universe originated by the creative act of God as revealed in Holy Scripture, and that the form of every kind of life was fixed at the time of its creation.

    (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1–3)

  17. We believe that human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all of human life.

  18. We believe in the Gospel as defined by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, and this is the “good news” that the New Testament proclaims: “Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…”

  19. Concluding Statement

    The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Dazzling G.E.M.S. Inc.’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Board of Directors is Dazzling G.E.M.S. Inc.’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.

Faith Shared with Love and Respect

Our Statement of Faith explains the Christian beliefs that guide Dazzling G.E.M.S. Our doors remain open to girls from all backgrounds. We share our faith with love and respect and do not use pressure, force, or coercion to require a participant to adopt our beliefs.
